Specialty shaped windows come in various shapes and sizes.  They add a unique curb appeal and enhance the character of your home.  Whether you have elegant arches, striking angles, or compelling curves, it is important that the window treatments that you choose continue to highlight the architectural authenticity that naturally exists.  But what options are available for such non-standard windows?  Below you will find some of our favorite solutions for windows such as these.

 

 

CELLULAR SHADES

Cellular Shades (also known as Honeycomb Shades) are an excellent solution for specialty shaped windows.  You can choose between operable and non-operable, as well as select from an array of fabrics, colors and opacities.  Depending on the shape of the window being covered, you can choose to have the pleats horizontally aligned or have them create a sunburst effect!

PLEATED SHADES

Pleated Shades offer a sophisticated and modern look to your specialty windows by showcasing nice crisp pleats.  You can choose between 1” or 2” pleats depending on the size of the window and the amount of drama you desire to achieve.  Multiple light filtering options are also available from bright and airy light filtering to privacy blackout liners.

SHUTTERS

Shutters are a timeless solution that truly can be customized to all specialty shaped windows.  Whether looking to cover arches, ovals, hexagons, rake windows, etc., shutters provide that classic look in a unique setting.  Shutters are available in wood, vinyl or composite and can have a continuous horizontal vane or the sunburst look.  Shutters are our favorite solution for those specialty shaped windows due to their versatility.

TABLEAUX DESIGNER GRILLS

If you are looking for something truly unique, look no further than a customized Tableaux Designer Grill!  These custom grills can literally be made into any shape or size your heart desires.  Choose from one of Tableaux’s four finishes (Faux Iron, Veneer, Elements or Metal Powder Coated) and select one of their pre-created designs.  Otherwise, you can also specify your own design or have them custom-create a design for you!  What these grills lack in privacy they make up for in style.
