Frequently Asked Questions

1.) Do you have a showroom?

      No, we do not have a showroom.  Our business comes to YOU!  We are completely mobile and allow you the opportunity to shop from the comfort of your home or commercial space.  This allows us to get exact measurements of your windows and see product in your space, with your lighting and your design-style!

2.) Do you have products in stock?

      Every product we sell is custom-made to our client’s exact specifications & window size. Therefore, we do not carry inventory or have in-stock items.

3.) ​What is the average cost of new window coverings for a home?

      As you can imagine, every home is vastly different with the number of windows to cover, type(s) of treatment(s) selected, etc.  On average, a homeowner should expect to budget around 1-2% of their home’s value on custom window coverings. For example, if your home is valued at $600,000, you could expect to spend in the $6,000-$12,000 range depending on style, fabric, control-type, etc. This varies greatly due to options for motorization or even the addition of layering custom draperies/hardware. We do, however, have a wide array of selections for our budget-focused clients. Communicate your goals with us and we will work hard to find you a beautiful solution that makes you happy!

4.) What are the next steps after receiving a quote?

      Thank you for trusting us to move forward with helping customize your window treatments!  Once you confirm you would like to move forward with the quote*, we will have you review our Sales Agreement which includes our Product Disclosures and Terms & Conditions. Please review all disclosures related to the product(s) you have chosen and let us know if you have any questions. Once we have received your signed Sales Agreement and 50% deposit, we will place your order!

Quoted price is for payment by credit or debit card.  A 2.5% savings will be applied to all payments made by Cash, Check or ACH Transfer. Please make checks payable to Made in the Shade NW Montana.

5.) How long does it take to receive my custom order?

      Manufacturing time for each product and vendor varies. Some orders may be in as quick as 2-weeks while others may take 5 to 6-weeks! We will do our best to accurately communicate the expected timeframe for your custom order at the time of completing your Sales Agreement. Please remember everything is custom made, thus, all sales are final. No exceptions. Time estimates are subject to manufacturers’ availability & backorders of fabrics and components may occur after an order has been placed. Made in the Shade NW Montana is not responsible for delays due to material outages, backorders, discontinued items, and/or shipping delays. We make every effort to ensure a timely install. THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES ON TIMELINE & WE DO NOT SCHEDULE INSTALLATION UNTIL WE PHYSICALLY RECEIVE THE PRODUCTS.

6.) What is your warranty policy?

      Made in the Shade NW Montana offers a 1-year labor warranty on all products sold & installed.  Our manufacturers stand behind their products & we stand behind our installation service.  Many of our manufacturers carry limited lifetime warranties, which we will serve on their behalf.  If a chosen product has a shorter warranty, that will be disclosed to you at the time of the quote.  Should you need any manufacturer’s warranty adjustments/repairs/remakes after the 1-year period, a standard trip charge may occur for labor. Any parts/services not covered under the manufacturer’s warranty after the 1-year period may also incur a nominal charge.
